Bladder Scan Visual Timetable

I’m sure there are a number of reasons why children have a bladder scan. I’m afraid that is not my area of expertise. But in case your child does need one, here is a visual timetable to help you and your child feel secure about what will happen.

Visual timetables are great for all children, because it helps them know before hand what is going to happen and help answer questions they might have. Plus having the timetable set out in a visual way helps them process it far better than the information being told to them.

Because children do not often understand what is happening, they can create senario’s that will happen in their mind. When my son was booked into have a scan he thought it was the same as surgery. Using this completely helped him with his anxiety and helped him recreate what was going to happen.
